Gero is the brother of our older breeding female, Gerda v. Elderbach. Gero is a dog that we became very familiar with when we ran in the Armbruster in Logan Utah in 2004. Gero was in our testing group and fortunately we had the opportunity to spend time with him and to watch him work.
Gero is a very high drive dog with a strong retrieving instinct and a natural point. We found his similarities to Gerda to be very striking, both in build, drive, and temperament. He has an excellent pedigree that matches up very well with that of Rixa
Gero received a coat and conformation score of 9/9 in the breed show, 67 in the VJP, and 180 in the HZP. He also received a tracking score of 11 in the Armbruster. Click HERE to view more photos of Gero. |

Rixa gave birth to 6 puppies. As is expected from a line breeding such as this, the puppies were all very consistent in coats and appearance. The puppies developed very quickly and were walking and opening their eyes before 2 weeks of age.
The puppies have all gone to their homes and we are hearing good reports from their new owners (who don’t send near enough photos).
